NFL.COM

Just a little reminder that for the third straight year, NICK BAKAY'S MANLY HOUSE OF FOOTBALL will grace the virtual pages of NFL.COM, not once, but TWICE A WEEK throughout the 2007 NFL season!!!

And for those of you who crave even more NB, I'll be playing a recurring part on the show I write on FOX; "'Til Death," Wednesday nights at 8:30, kicking off Sept, 19th. Clear your DVR memory accordingly...

Oh, and to continue our recent theme of blatant larceny, the uncreative minds at SI.com not only are trying to rip off Page2 with the pathetic "Extra Mustard," they have some clown named Cory Mcartney rubbing his ass crack all over a Tale Of The Tape ripoff.

Only in the world of sports do you see this kind of lazy, unconscionable hackery. I mean, what am I missing here? I originated this exact concept and title, I have delivered it on SPORTSCENTER, and ESPN the magazine, and countless other shows for fifteen years, I even published a book -- if you don't believe me, just look to the left side of this page!!!

Here's a novel idea, douche -- take five minutes and try to imagine a world in which you create your own material.

I know it's tough squeezing in that kind of "thinkin'" time in between your shift at The Olive Garden, but give it a shot.

I got it! How about Cory Mcartney's Top Ten List!

Oh, sorry, that one's taken too...

UNINTENTIONALLY FUNNY

Props to Rob in Dallas for getting my back, and to all of you who have emailed me about the recent spate of copy cats. At this point, I'm used to seeing my tale of the tape regularly ripped off by anonymous hacks at Page2 and Sports Illustrated, but here's a new low...

ESPN BILL SIMMONS CHAT TRANSCIPT (6/26):

Rob (Dallas): "Did you send Nick Bakay his check for you stealing his bit for your last Mag column?"

Bill Simmons: "I'm sorry, I didn't know Bakay invented the concept of breaking down 2 players by categories. What a brilliant idea, he hasn't gotten enough credit."

Easy there, little fella -- you sound a tad sensitive about the topic.

Maybe because, deep inside, you know you hijacked a signature bit I was doing on Sportcenter when you were still jerking off to a Mo Vaughn rookie card.

On the bright side, I guess this means I have cart blanche to try my hand at a 75,000 word NBA draft diary thats' really all about me!

PREPARATION = 24/7/365! What better way to soothe the pain of these difficult, off-season days than with an outrageously early glance into the fantasy football crystal ball. Many more details and logic to follow between now and draft day, but...
